Allied Universal, Leesburg, VA, is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced (Part Time) to provide access control, monitor facilities, and respond to incidents. Flexible, anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our platform support steady income and experience across multiple sites.

The role requires a college degree, ability to type at least 40 WPM, and age requirements for unarmed/armed positions. Background checks and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery partners by carrying out access‑control procedures.
• Verify credentials and manage entry processes while maintaining access logs.
• Monitor access‑control systems, alarms, cameras, and entry points; report concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery partners by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry processes, maintain access logs, and support authorized access to data center areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access‑control systems, alarms, cameras, and entry points; identify irregular activity and promptly report security‑related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and critical infrastructure zones to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Intake in Leesburg, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$26.06 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Fri 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a college degree.
• Type at a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
