• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, facilities, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized access.
• Operate access-control systems, cameras, radios, and other site equipment per post orders.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and transportation personnel by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, rail operations areas, facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and identify security‑related concerns.
• Operate access‑control systems, cameras, radios, and other site equipment in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
