Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Specialist in Livermore, CA. The role offers flexible fixed shifts and the opportunity to pick up extra shifts to enhance earnings while maintaining reliable hours at a designated site.

Pay rate is $22.52 per hour, with a Thur schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The position includes benefits, training, and potential progression toward full-time roles within the industry leader.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an automotive manufacturing location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor entry, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas to help identify unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding access control concerns, incidents, and shift activity.

Job Schedule:

Thur: 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
