Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver for Tampa, FL. This role includes on-site access-control duties and driving responsibilities, with a Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift and a pay rate of $21.49 per hour.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver - Tampa, FL

Pay Rate: $21.49 / Hour

Job Schedule: Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle access records, and direct authorized traffic in accordance with location procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly report concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, perimeter gates, and surrounding operational areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with personnel and visitors in a busy logistics and distribution location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
