Job summary

Qualifications

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Systems Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values. This is a driving position.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Verify identification and credentials, process visitor and contractor entry, issue and retrieve access badges, and maintain accurate access-control records.
• Monitor entry and exit points, inspect authorized vehicles and materials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established security-related procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
