Allied Universal in Sulphur, LA is seeking a Security Officer Access Administration Driver to safeguard clients at a chemical/petrochemical location. You will manage entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors.

You will use technology to document activity, respond calmly to critical situations, and conduct patrols of access-control points, entrances, and parking areas.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required in the state of the job.
• At least 1 year law enforcement experience, 2 years security supervisor/manager, or 3 years security experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors and vendors while following site security procedures.
• Verify identifications, credentials, access authorizations and visitor documentation before entry to restricted areas.
• Monitor access points, visitor systems, alarm panels and camera feeds; report anomalies per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access-control points, entrances, parking areas and perimeter locations.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Administration Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and support a professional, welcoming experience for employees and visitors. You will use technology to document activity, communicate clearly, and help deter security-related incidents while upholding Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and care. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
• Verify identification, credentials, access authorizations, and visitor documentation before permitting entry to restricted areas within a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, visitor management systems, alarm panels, and/or camera feeds; report unusual activity, access discrepancies, and equipment concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access-control points, building entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized entry and identify potential security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
