Allied Universal in Redlands, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide access control and customer service for clients, visitors, and employees. The role emphasizes consistent hours at an assigned site with optional extra shifts through the scheduling platform.

You will work fixed anchor shifts, with six-month commitment, and may earn more by picking up additional shifts. A background check and drug screen are required.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Redlands, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points for a logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing inbound and outbound traffic, maintaining accurate access logs, and reporting unusual activity or access concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
