Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer – Access Control in Riverside, CA. You will monitor entry points, verify access, and provide professional customer service in a logistics and distribution setting.

Responsibilities include patrols, reporting, and maintaining logs while following site policies. A guard card/license is preferred, with background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

• Criminal histories may be considered in accordance with laws.
• Guard card or license preferred for driving roles.

• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain logs, and direct authorized individuals.
• Deter unauthorized access by observing activity at gates, entrances, and restricted areas; report suspicious activity and access-control concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate to site contacts, emergency services, or leadership.
• Conduct regular patrols of the facility and document observations and security reports.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery documentation, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing activity at gates, entrances, and restricted areas; report suspicious activity, policy violations, and access-control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters to site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter, documenting observations and completing required security-related reports.

Minimum Requirements

• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
