Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Henderson, KY. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, and includes site-specific access control duties for a chemical and petrochemical facility.

Pay rate is $17.00 per hour, with a fixed shift and opportunities to advance to full-time roles through paid training and scheduling programs.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control in Henderson, KY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.


• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical facility.


• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals according to facility access requirements.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established communication channels.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.


• Follow applicable site procedures, including personal protective equipment requirements and restricted‑area protocols, while maintaining accurate security‑related documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
