Allied Universal in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Compliance to provide reliable, site-based security with fixed shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The role offers a pay rate of $17.50 per hour, with a base schedule of Monday and Thursday 12:30 PM–07:30 PM, and the opportunity to increase earnings by taking extra shifts while maintaining income stability.

Qualifications

• State/local security license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Manage access control at entry points by verifying credentials, reviewing visitor and delivery documentation, issuing access credentials, and maintaining accurate access logs.
• Monitor the movement of personnel, vehicles, and deliveries through designated access points in a logistics and distribution location, reporting unauthorized or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Compliance in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:30 PM - 07:30 PM
• Thur: 12:30 PM - 07:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
