Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, offers a part-time Enhanced Patrol Observation position in Jacksonville, FL. This role provides reliable hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $16.73 per hour. The schedule includes Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM and Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM. A six-month anchor shift is required, with the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program available to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security activities, and communicate to site leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Job Schedule:

• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, entrances, and other assigned areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and assist with directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
