Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out access control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain logs.
• Control access for vehicles, vendors, and deliveries per site procedures and direct individuals to check-in areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and urgent situations calmly and escalate to site contacts or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Timein York, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule: DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, issue temporary access credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Control access for vehicles, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate check-in areas and reporting unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
