Allied Universal® in Central, SC seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to support our customers with reliable, fixed shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

The role emphasizes access control, incident response, and patrols at a chemical and petrochemical site. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ (21+ for armed), and background/drug screening as applicable.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue temporary access materials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records per site procedures.
• Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and deliveries as directed; communicate access concerns to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized entry and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Central, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Screen incoming personnel, vehicles, and deliveries as directed, and communicate access concerns or unusual activity to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access‑control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
