Job summary

Allied Universal offers a Part Time Enhanced Security Officer position at our Houston site. This role provides flexible, dependable hours with anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

The schedule is DayTimeSat12:00 PM - 07:00 PM, with duties including customer service, incident response, and patrols to protect manufacturing and industrial locations. Applicants should have at least 1 year of security-related experience, be 18+ (21+ for armed roles), and

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and follow site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facilities and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and maintain logs.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports for security‑related activities.
• Observe and report potential hazards, unusual conditions, and policy violations to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security‑related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
