Allied Universal in Dayville, CT is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable, community-focused security. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform, enabling you to earn more while building experience at a premier security services company.

Pay rate is $18.31 per hour with part-time hours and a commitment to a designated site for six months.

Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering or exiting the retail location, following established visitor and delivery procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and delivery logs and communicate access concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access areas, the retail location, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Validation in Dayville, CT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.31 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 12:00 AM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
