As a Security Officer Enhanced Access Control Operations in Bayside, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.35 / Hour

DayTimeThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor access points; verify authorized access in accordance with established procedures and maintain appropriate records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, vendors, and property staff while supporting a welcoming residential environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a guard card/license is preferred.
• Experience with access control/badging is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
