Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor/contractor records, report unauthorized access.
• Control entry/exit activity for deliveries, trailers, and personnel at gates, following screening requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and promptly to site contacts and responders.
• Conduct patrols of facility points, loading areas, parking and perimeter to identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Access Control in Riverside, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors while carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry records, and report unauthorized access attempts according to site procedures.
• Control entry and exit activity for delivery vehicles, trailers, and personnel at designated gates or checkpoints, following established screening and documentation requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
