Job summary

Allied Universal in Riverside, CA is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced X Ray Screening. You will provide access control, screening, and customer service at a logistics site, with flexible hours and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

The role offers a fixed anchor shift with six‑month commitment and the option to claim additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling earnings up to 40 hours per week while keeping a reliable base.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points; verify credentials and visitor authorization; issue visitor passes as required; maintain access‑related records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and/or deliveries per site procedures; report unauthorized access or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

As a Security Officer Enhanced X Ray Screening in Riverside, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeTue10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed‑Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes as required, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
