Job summary

Life Care Services seeks a Security Officer for Sagewood in Phoenix, AZ. This full-time night shift (Sun–Thu, 11pm–7:30am) includes a $2 per hour shift differential, with a flu vaccination requirement and emphasis on resident safety and well-being.

Candidates must hold AZ EMT certification, a valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (assistance provided), and a high school diploma or GED. Prior security experience and a valid driver license are required.

Qualifications

• AZ EMT certificate licensed in AZ (REQUIRED)
• Ability to obtain AZ Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (assistance provided)
• Flu shot required
• High school Diploma or GED
• One year security experience
• Valid driver license with good driving record
• CPR, BLS, First Aid certification
• Arizona DPS unarmed guard certification (assistance available)
• Ability to communicate clearly in English

Responsibilities

• Protect residents and property, watch for safety issues, and report incidents
• Monitor entrances, patrol the Sagewood campus, and enforce policies
• Respond to alarms and emergencies with calm, professional action
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a secure environment for residents and staff

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00/hr. with a $2 an hour shift differential

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday / Nights 11pm-7:30am with option to pick up additional nights & weekend hours

Who you are:

• Someone with an AZ EMT CERTIFICATE Licensed in Arizona – this is REQUIRED
• Has the ability to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help with the obtaining the card)
• FLU SHOT REQUIRED!!
• Have a High school Diploma or GED
• Has one year security experience
• Have a valid driver license with satisfactory driving record.
• Have a CPR, BLS, First Aid certification prior to start date.
• Arizona DPS unarmed guard certification (we can assist with this certification).
• Can effectively and calmly communicate orally and in writing in English and make rational decisions in critical situations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to walk inside and outside of the Sagewood campus and stand and/or climb stairs approximately 75% of each shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds. Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair or other devices for up to 250 pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate telephones, radio, computer, and other business equipment. Normal vision and hearing required. May be exposed to communicable diseases including influenza, HIV and Hepatitis. May be exposed to unpleasant odors, high heat levels, and institutional cleaning chemicals. Compliance with LCE COVID-19 Vaccination Policy is required for this position for all LCS Community employees.
