Casa de las Campanas is seeking a Safety Officer (EMT) to provide emergency medical responses to residents and staff and ensure overall safety across the campus in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The role supports life-safety operations and may involve minor maintenance coordination and medication deliveries as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Responds to resident and staff emergency medical situations and initiates appropriate care.
• Patrols interior and exterior of buildings and grounds.
• Monitors residents' welfare with daily status checks.
• Responds to medical, fire, life-safety, and security calls.
• Documents significant observations and actions.
• Escorts residents and staff, assists with medication deliveries and other duties.
• Monitors parking and access to Casa buildings.
• Transports staff to off-site parking as needed.

Who you are:

• Current CA Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification required
• Prior experience as an EMT is preferred and/or experience in a similar field or senior living
• Current CA driver’s license required
• Current CA Guard Card a plus
• Ability to work holidays and weekends

Job Summary:

The Safety Officer (EMT) provides emergency medical responses to residents and staff and initiates appropriate action. Responsible for the general safety of residents, staff, guests, buildings, grounds, minor emergency maintenance functions, and other required duties.

Essential Job Duties

• Responds to resident and staff emergency medical situations, makes assessments, and initiates appropriate medical responses
• Patrols interior and exterior of buildings and grounds
• Monitors the welfare of residents by performing daily status check procedures
• Responds to all emergency calls, i.e., medical, fire, life-safety, and security
• Records all significant observations/happenings and other appropriate documentation
• Responds to minor maintenance calls in the absence of on-duty maintenance personnel. Immediately contacts physical plant staff for life-safety equipment malfunction repair
• Escorts residents and staff as needed. Provides other personal services, i.e.: delivering medications, packages, newspapers, flowers, etc., and other duties as assigned
• Monitors and controls parking on property
• Monitors and controls access to Casa buildings by residents, staff, and visitors
• Transports staff to off-site employee parking as needed

Pay Rate

Starting at $21.75

Shift:

Multiple Open

Additional pay differentials of $1.25 per hour for the PM shift, $1.50 per hour for the NOC shift, and $3.00 per hour for weekend shifts
