Allied Universal in Berkeley, MO is seeking a Security Officer Employee Entrance to protect clients and visitors at a financial services location. You will monitor, patrol, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service while following site protocols.

The role is full-time with a pay rate of $18.75 per hour. Applicants should have at least one year of security experience, a valid license where required, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. CPR/First Aid preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• State/county/city-issued security license preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check as per law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial services location, including interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports and maintain professional communication with site contacts, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
