Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Ontario, CA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with a fixed anchor shift and opportunities to pick up extra shifts to increase earnings.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal policy.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be needed by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail distribution facility.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, screening visitors, maintaining logs, and directing authorized personnel, drivers, and vendors per site procedures.
• Observe inbound/outbound vehicle traffic, coordinate gate access for deliveries and shipments, and report access irregularities to site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, facility perimeter, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized activity.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility perimeter, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
