Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Driving Role in Ladson, SC to safeguard clients across industries in a manufacturing and industrial setting. You will conduct patrols, deter security incidents, and provide excellent customer service and communication within a team-focused environment.

Position Type: Full Time with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, schedule includes nights Sunday through Thursday variations.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and control entry and exit by verifying credentials, observing deliveries, and reporting concerns.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and report maintenance or operational issues observed during patrols per post orders and incident reporting procedures.

• Mon: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Tue: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Fri: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity by verifying credentials, observing deliveries, and reporting policy concerns in accordance with site expectations.
• Support daily operations by maintaining detailed activity logs, reporting maintenance or operational issues observed during patrols, and following Allied Universal post orders and incident reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
