Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Driver Patrol at our Cupertino, CA site to serve tenants, shoppers, and vendors while patrolling retail and mall areas. The role requires a valid driver’s license and provides hourly pay with a daytime to night schedule.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional manner, following reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, and entrances to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property damage, access issues, and hazards to site contacts and leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and traffic or parking-related concerns.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Site Operations in Cupertino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail and mall property.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of retail common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Observe and report unusual activity, property damage, access issues, and potential hazards to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor directions, and traffic or parking-related concerns while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
