Job summary

Allied Universal in Detroit, MI is seeking a Security Officer Driver to serve and safeguard clients across utilities and other facilities. This driving role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to uphold site policies while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, buildings, equipment areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements, maintaining accurate logs and documentation.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
