Job summary

Allied Universal in Riverside, CA seeks a Security Officer Driver Patrol to safeguard clients across a retail location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the retail area to deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to store personnel and leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor and vendor interactions, and documenting incidents and patrol activities.

$19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tue: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate store personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
• Assist with access control, visitor and vendor interactions, and documentation of incidents and patrol activities in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
