Job summary

North Memorial Health in Minnesota seeks a Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff across our hospital campuses. The role may involve acting as Senior Officer in charge and responding to incidents with professionalism.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 3+ years of customer service, 2+ years direct patient contact in a Level I trauma center, and a valid Class D driver’s license with a good driving record; BLS certification is required.

Requirements
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Post-secondary education in security, law enforcement, or criminal justice program preferred.

Experience
Experience

• Must have one of the following:
• 3+ years providing direct customer service utilizing conflict resolution skills on a daily basis.
• 2+ years direct patient contact in a level I trauma center in an emergency department setting
• 2+ years demonstrated ability to deescalate conflict in a positive manner.
• 1+ years of law enforcement and/or military experience, with confrontational situations preferred

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships in the organization
Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
Must be able to read, write and speak effectively in English.
Basic computer knowledge required

Licensure/Certification
Must be qualified by North Memorial Health Care Department of Transportation to operate hospital vehicles.
Valid class D driver\'s license in state of residency with acceptable driving record.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification or completion within 3 months of hire

Salary Range: S15 ($22.09 - $30.91), based on experience
Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
