Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Olathe, KS. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and provide excellent customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and delivery personnel.

The position offers evening shifts (Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM, Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM) at a logistics and distribution site, with opportunities to learn and grow within Allied Universal’s agile team and access to exclusive perks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screening required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment; driving positions require a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors and delivery personnel by following security procedures and site policies.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, visitors and delivery personnel.
• Inspect identification, visitor credentials and vehicle access documents; maintain access logs and report discrepancies to management.
• Respond calmly to incidents and escalations per procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas and facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for employees, drivers, and deliveries. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Inspect identification, visitor credentials, and vehicle access documentation; maintain accurate access logs and report discrepancies to site management.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
