Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Olathe, KS to safeguard clients across logistics and distribution sites. You will verify access, monitor credentials, and patrol premises while delivering strong customer service.

The role emphasizes teamwork, incident response, and a visible security presence to deter disruptions. The schedule is Fri 10:00 PM–06:00 AM and Sat 10:00 PM–06:00 AM, with pay rate $18.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Observe shipping/receiving and deter disruptions.

• Monitor access control points by checking credentials, verifying authorized entry, and documenting visitor, contractor, and/or driver activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including entrances, exits, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Observe shipping and receiving activity, report unusual behavior or unauthorized access, and help to deter disruptions involving packages, vehicles, trailers, and/or restricted areas.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
