Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities at a manufacturing/industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, issue visitor passes, and maintain access-related records.
• Control access to restricted areas, loading docks, warehouse spaces, and office areas in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned access points and report security concerns.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.

• Respond to access‑control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security‑related concerns and help to deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
