Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies at a freight transportation and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents and access-control concerns calmly and notify site contacts or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, offices, docks, trailers, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and activity logs, maintaining accurate incident documentation.
• Assist in maintaining orderly flow of personnel and vehicles during shipping and receiving operations.

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Modesto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a freight transportation and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking areas, offices, docks, trailers, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor, driver, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures; maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Help support the orderly flow of personnel and vehicles during shipping and receiving operations while following established post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
