Job summary

Allied Universal in Tracy, CA is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening to provide reliable, flexible hours at a designated site and to support secure operations. The role offers a fixed anchor shift with optional “Earn More, Claim-A-Shift” opportunities; pay rate is $17.92 per hour with a daytime schedule of 2:00 PM–10:30 PM and potential to pick extra shifts across sites.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time X Ray Screening in Tracy, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to associates, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading docks, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for visitors, contractors, and vendors in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activity as required.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate observations or concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
