Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access-control procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials and maintain access-related records.
• Control access for deliveries and vehicle traffic, report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Biometric Access Control in Santa Fe Springs, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:30 PMThur03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out access-control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Control access for deliveries, shipments, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of security-related experience.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
