Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Denver, CO. This flexible, part-time role offers reliable anchor shifts with options to pick up additional shifts and grow toward full-time opportunities.

You will help maintain safety at a distribution center, perform access-control duties, and respond to incidents while ensuring customer service at the site. This position includes benefits and a strong emphasis on work-life balance.

As a Security Officer Distribution Center in Denver, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate

$22.56 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for individuals and vehicles entering or exiting the location; maintain accurate visitor and vehicle access records.
• Monitor access points, gates, and entry systems; report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and access‑control concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; document observations and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
