Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for our distribution center in Denver, Colorado. You will monitor entry points, respond to alarms, and provide excellent customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers while maintaining a safe, compliant environment.

This role offers a flexible schedule with weekend shifts and opportunities to grow within a nationwide security network.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 (unarmed) or 21 (armed).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, issue passes, and maintain entry records.
• Control vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian access at gates and entry points per site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and notify site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized activity and report security concerns.

As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, manage badge access, respond to alarm panel activity, and conduct routine patrols to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and works together to help deter security-related incidents.

Pay Rate: $23.96 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate entry and exit records.
• Control vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian access at gates and designated entry points in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, unauthorized entry attempts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
