Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and mall personnel by following security procedures and emergency responses.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, incidents, and requests.
• Monitor communications and surveillance systems, document incidents and responses.
• Respond to incidents calmly, coordinating with onsite personnel and responders as needed.
• Maintain logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information; support patrols around the mall and perimeter.

As a Security Officer Dispatch Operations Center in Santa Clara, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Dispatch Professional at a busy retail mall location, you will monitor security-related communications, coordinate responses, document incidents, and support officers and visitors with exceptional customer service. You will help maintain awareness of activities across the property while serving as a dependable communication hub. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Tue 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Wed 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Thur 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Sun 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and mall personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service, alarms, incidents, and requests for assistance using radio, telephone, and dispatch systems.
• Monitor communications and available surveillance or alarm systems, documenting incidents, service requests, and response activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, key or access-control records, and shift handoff information while supporting regular and random patrol activity around the mall and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
