Job summary

Allied Universal, the leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer – Digital Center in Mesa, AZ. In this role you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities at a technology-focused site.

You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain logs, and communicate with site contacts and leadership. The position is full-time with shift schedule: Wed 10 PM–6 AM, Thu 10 PM–6 AM, Sat 6 AM–2 PM, Sun

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, background check and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and follow site policies at manufacturing, industrial, and telecom locations.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and follow site protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, work areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization per site procedures.
• Communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Job Description

As a Security Officer - Digital Center in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a manufacturing and technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and embraces innovation.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.38 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Thur 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at manufacturing, industrial, and telecommunications locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site contacts, supervisors, and Allied Universal leadership as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
