Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) for Syracuse, NY. You will protect clients across distribution facilities, patrol areas, deter incidents, and uphold Allied Universal values while delivering excellent service to employees and drivers.

The role requires documenting observations, communicating clearly, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Shifts include days and evenings at a logistics site with opportunities for growth and benefits.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Deterrence Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. You will communicate clearly, document observations, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff information in support of site operations.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
