Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for a front desk position at a Jacksonville, FL retail location. You will greet visitors, control access, issue badges, and maintain visitor logs while providing quality customer service and a secure environment.

Responsibilities include monitoring entry, reporting incidents, and following site procedures. Must have at least 1 year of security experience and be 18+; background checks and drug screening apply where required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.15 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sun 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, associates, vendors, and delivery personnel at a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Operate the front desk by greeting and directing visitors, maintaining visitor logs, issuing badges or access credentials, and following established sign-in and sign-out procedures.
• Monitor entry activity, communicate professionally with store and site personnel, and report suspicious activity, policy concerns, and security-related incidents to appropriate contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and contacting emergency services and/or Allied Universal leadership when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records of visitor activity, incidents, deliveries, and other front-desk communications in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
