Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Security Officer for Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville. The full-time, day shift runs 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM with rotating weekdays and weekends.

You will patrol and monitor hospital properties, escort people as needed, and respond to safety concerns to protect patients, visitors and staff. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license, with 1–2 years of law enforcement, security officer, or military experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Driver's License required.
• 1-2 years Law Enforcement Experience preferred.
• 1-2 years Security Officer Experience preferred.
• 1-2 years Military Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and monitor Baptist Downtown properties to enforce safety.
• Report unusual circumstances and take corrective actions.
• Provide escort services to patients, visitors and staff.
• Respond to unsafe situations and emergencies.
• Enforce hospital parking regulations and assist with vehicle problems.
• Maintain security logs and communicate with security team.
