Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Area Patrol in Alpharetta, GA. You will patrol and safeguard clients, monitor access points, and respond to alarms at a financial institution location, delivering reliable, visible security support.

This full-time role requires at least 1 year of security experience, with preference for alarm panel and badge access familiarity. The schedule includes night shifts, with competitive hourly pay and benefits for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying IDs and visitor authorization.
• Complete routine security-related reporting and communicate updates to site contacts.

As a Security Officer – Area Patrol in Alpharetta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a financial institution location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate for a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter points, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Control access to the location by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or visitor authorization as required, and reporting access issues per site procedures.
• Complete routine security-related reporting such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, communicating timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
