Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Armed Patrol in East Point, GA. The role focuses on protecting clients at a financial institution, performing armed patrols and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Position is full-time with a schedule Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, paying $21.00 per hour. Must meet minimum experience and licensing requirements and will undergo background checks and a drug screen as required by law.

• At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of the facility, grounds, and perimeter to deter incidents.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and document observations for responders.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Carry assigned equipment in compliance with laws and site policies.

Job Schedule:

• Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wed 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and maintenance concerns.
• Carry and maintain assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, site policies, and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
