Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Data Center in Somerset, NJ. You will monitor and safeguard clients, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers.

This full-time role pays $21.00 per hour and follows a schedule: Mon 03:00 PM–11:00 PM, Wed 03:00 PM–11:00 PM, Sat 07:00 AM–03:00 PM, Sun 07:00 AM–03:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required under federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and regulations.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and reporting concerns.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of offices, access points and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access and verify credentials; assist with visitor management.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities and report to site leadership.

As a Security Officer in a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of financial institution offices, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and assist with visitor management procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
