Allied Universal Security Officer Enhanced Part Time in Columbus, IN is a part-time role designed to provide reliable hours with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts. You will deliver customer service at a manufacturing site, following site procedures and safety rules.

Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Customer Service Patrol in Columbus, IN, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $16.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Sat: 02:00 PM - 12:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and/or observations as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders when appropriate.
• Help maintain an orderly work environment by observing compliance with posted site rules and reporting hazards, damaged property, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
