Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Customer Service Patrol) in Boston, MA. You will safeguard clients, perform routine patrols, monitor access points, and deliver excellent customer service in a financial institution setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document access-related concerns.
• Prepare clear and timely incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation for site leadership and Allied Universal.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
