Job summary

Allied Universal in Reno, NV is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Service Patrol to protect clients across Retail/Malls and other venues. You will monitor, patrol, deter incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with guests and team members to maintain a welcoming, safe environment.

This on-site role involves day-time and evening shifts with a focus on integrity, reliability, and collaboration within a team

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Guard card and/or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Drug screen as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents calmly and escalate as needed per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entertainment areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Customer Service Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail and entertainment location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with guests and team members while helping create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to guests, team members, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, guest disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entertainment areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe guest activity, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Document incidents, patrol activities, and observations accurately and promptly in accordance with site-specific reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
