The position requires a state license, a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

Must have a state or municipality mandated security officer license.
High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent is required.
Must have reliable means of communication and transportation.
Strong interpersonal communication skills and a neat, professional appearance.
Experience in contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service is helpful.

Responsibilities

Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers, employees, visitors, and guests.
Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility.
Monitor the environment and detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests professionally.
Answer phones in a professional manner.
Control access by permitting authorized persons to enter and monitoring entrances and exits.
Perform patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.
