Job summary

Harvard Protection Services in New Jersey is seeking a Security Officer to provide professional customer-focused security and life safety services at client sites. You will maintain a visible presence, greet visitors, monitor entrances, and patrol designated areas to deter incidents and protect property.

You will document incidents, prepare reports, and coordinate with clients and team members while following established procedures and safety policies.

Qualifications

• State or municipality mandated security officer licenses required.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a security guard license or obtain one within a reasonable time.
• Reliable transportation and communication resources.
• Strong interpersonal and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional demeanor and assist customers, employees, visitors and guests.
• Maintain a visible presence in the assigned facility.
• Monitor environment for suspicious or unsafe activity.
• Control access and monitor entrances and exits.
• Prepare reports on incidents and accidents as directed.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies following procedures.
