Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Customer Engagement in Goodyear, AZ. You will serve and safeguard clients at a data center, monitor access, and deliver exceptional customer service while patrolling and maintaining logs with integrity.

This full-time on-site role uses computers/tablets to support daily tasks, and collaborates with leadership to uphold security procedures and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation in line with federal, state and local laws.
• Allied Universal evaluates applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local regulations.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interiors, exteriors, parking areas and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain logs, and report concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly and in accordance with emergency procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, shift logs, and incident documentation for leadership and clients.

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic data center location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. Use computer or tablet tools to support daily activities, communicate professionally, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a data center location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-related concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Complete accurate reports, shift logs, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
