Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer - Customer Access in Gilbert, AZ to safeguard clients in Retail/Malls and other settings. Pay rate is $22.30 per hour.

Schedule options include DayTime Fri 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM and Sat 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM; use our Claim a Shift platform to build your hours. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail/entertainment location, you will patrol, maintain a visible presence, assist guests and team members, and document security activities using

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, team members, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of entertainment areas, entry points, parking areas, and surrounding perimeter.
• Respond to incidents and guest concerns in a calm, professional manner and escalate as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe guest activity to support a welcoming environment.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity and communicate to leadership and site contacts.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and entertainment location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and team members. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and document security-related activities using available technology. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, team members, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of entertainment areas, entry points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify unusual activity and policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe guest activity to help support a welcoming environment and adherence to location policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
